TIMES PATI, JAKARTA – There is one culinary spot you need to visit in Tasikmalaya when you happened to visit this city. This place has a signature dish which well known with Mi Jaka

Located at Jalan Tentara Pelajar No. 135, Empangsari, Tawang, Tasikmalaya West Jabmva this place has never been quiet from the visitors. Even during the pandemic.

The strategic area and easily to access place has made the customers feel more comfortable to enjoy this tasty dish. Lots of people such the Mayor and Deputy and several local artist has made this place as their favorite place to go during meal time.

Kang Ubud or Mahbud the owner of the food shop is the second generation who run this place. He inherited it from his late father. His father opened the food shop and make the noodle as their signature dish since 1945.

They have exchange their locations for three time since then. His father had 8 kids by then. But only Kang ubud who willing to run the business after his father past away.

This 61 year old guy keep maintaining the recipe his father gave by cooking all the noodle by himself. That's probably what makes the customers love their noodle.

The taste has never been change because Kang Ubud maintaining their cooking technique. He also maintains to use conventional clay wood stove to cook the noodle.

It is believed that the aroma of the wood makes the noodle taste like those michelin restaurants food. "Its been 75 year we run the business, and we are so glad that we still able to run the business till now," Kang ubud said.

When you see the food shop, you will underrated the taste. But once you put a spoon full of Mi Jaka into your mouth, you will feel like angel just sent you some food from heaven.

This food shop opens daily from 16.00 to 20

00 local western time. With the short time of opening Mi Jaka of Tasikmalaya has attracted people to line up for more. (*)
